This ongoing project is titled "Water Colors"
Rain in Los Angeles is rare but I love the opportunity and challenges it brings to street photography.
Project Title: Textures
The aim of this collection is to explore impressionism and obscurity in street photography. This area of photography appeals to my fine art senses and opens many possibilities to candid street photography.
This an on going project that aims to capture the lights, textures and rhythms of Los Angeles after dark
I am mostly a color enthusiast when it comes to Street Photography, but some photographs just work better in Black & White. Here is some of my work in that format.
Chinatown in Downtown Los Angles is my second home when it comes to Street Photography. This is a place dear to me because it is where I cut my teeth as a candid street photographer. I love the colors, the textures and the people of this amazing area.
The Historic Core of DTLA and its surrounding areas- from The Arts District to Santee Alley are a incredible mix of culture and grit. With iconic gothic style buildings and pop-up flee markets, it has much to offer for hardcore street style.
A face front photograph that leaves the viewer with nothing to ponder is an insult to your audience. I always try and add interest with perspective. Obscurity, interesting vantage points and mis-direction are just a few techniques I find bring intrigue to photography.
I think in a previous life I could have been a fashion photographer. If I had been, then I would have certainly mixed both street and fashion together. To me a candid photograph is the poetry of life. There is a relaxed realism that speaks to me. I also happen to love fashion, style and culture so mixing these ideas together is a great combo for me creatively.
Silhouettes have always been a great technique in creating mystery in a scene. Because the technique is often overused I have made it a point to only share those that have something to offer.
This page is dedicated a to collection of photographs I took through a window in downtown Los Angeles that offered a great impressionistic perspective as I captured passerby's.
Simply put- I have a thing for neon lights. This is a personal obsession of mine, please forgive me.
"Dogtown" or Zephyr Street is a local name for what is commonly known as Venice Beach. Its s popular place for Los Angeles Street Photography for good reason. Venice beach is a special place in Los Angeles hosting the most colorful people in LA.
